Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. You are about 75 feet from the ocean. Loblolly Bay is a long sweeping arc about 3/4 mile long. Lavenda Breeze is midway in the arc. At either end are pleasant informal beach bars that serve lunch and cold drinks. Swimming is easy from anywhere along the beach. Enter anywhere to start snorkeling. There is an extensive reef (the Horseshoe Reef, 25 miles long) that protects Anegada and its beaches. This also provides incredible, unspoiled snorkeling.
